The Small Energy Association's conference, "Affordable Energy for Business: Impetus for Russian Economic Growth," will open the Heat&Power business program.

On October 21, the Small-Scale Energy Association, in collaboration with Delovaya Rossiya, will hold a conference titled "Affordable Energy for Business: Impetus for Russian Economic Growth." The event, part of the business program of the 10th Anniversary International Heat&Power Exhibition in Moscow, will address critical issues related to improving the reliability of energy supply for Russian enterprises. Representatives from businesses, leading engineering companies, industry organizations, energy equipment suppliers, and regulators will participate in the conference.
 
Energy has always been a pillar of the Russian economy. Its primary objective remains the stable and reliable supply of energy to millions of consumers. This task is particularly important in the face of external challenges and threats.
 
In 2025-2026, businesses are expected to see another increase in electricity tariffs—an average of 12-17%. These price increases directly impact the cost of products and services, reducing business profitability and slowing the development of new industries.

Implementing the General Plan for the Placement of Energy Facilities by 2042 will require over 40 trillion rubles and will lead to a doubling of electricity costs by that date. The energy system is experiencing a growing shortage of generating capacity (the integrated energy systems of Siberia, the South, the Far East, Moscow, and the Moscow Region are considered to be experiencing shortages), and the risk of introducing emergency consumption restrictions of at least 1,200 MW is predicted.
 
For investors and industry, the issue of affordable, reliable, and high-quality electricity is becoming critical. One of the most effective solutions is to create on-site generation sources using energy-efficient technologies. Distributed energy facilities reduce costs, improve the quality and reliability of energy supply, and create the foundation for sustainable business development and, consequently, the Russian economy.

The conference will address the following questions:
  • What opportunities does distributed generation offer various sectors of the Russian economy in the face of global change?
  • How could distributed generation technologies help improve the reliability and quality of power supply for energy-intensive, systemically important enterprises, as well as in energy-deficient areas?
  • What challenges do businesses face when modernizing production facilities and organizing power supply for new sites?
  • What technologies ensure reliable, high-quality power supply at an affordable price?
  • Which on-site power supply solutions have demonstrated the best results in practice, and why?
  • What typical mistakes do companies make on the path to improving energy supply efficiency, and how can they be avoided?
  • Which generating equipment demonstrates the greatest efficiency today?
  • What regulatory barriers and issues in interaction with infrastructure organizations require urgent solutions?
