The new Russian YaMZ 85534-03NG gas piston engine in operation: DVS Resource's experience

A modern domestic gas piston engine, the YaMZ 85534-03NG, has arrived in Russia. One of the first projects using it is already in operation at DVS Resurs, a Heat&Power exhibitor. There, the engine is installed as part of a gas piston unit for its own needs and supplies the plant with electricity.
 
This development is of strategic importance for the industry. Until now, Russia had no domestic solutions in this segment, forcing companies to choose between expensive Western units or less predictable options from China. The YaMZ 85534-03NG is the first domestic product developed specifically for Russian operating conditions, with accessible service and spare parts.

Customers and suppliers are already showing interest in the new engine. Its development opens up opportunities to reduce dependence on imports and increase the availability of gas piston power in the country.
