16 April 2026
In 2026, the issues of ensuring energy security, technological sovereignty, and sustainable development of the fuel and energy sector are of paramount importance for the entire Russian economy.

The Moscow International Energy Forum "Russia's Fuel and Energy Sector in the 21st Century" is one of the central discussion platforms in the country, bringing together representatives of government, business, science, and the expert community to discuss key issues related to the development of Russia's fuel and energy sector.

Representatives of federal government agencies, heads and deputy heads of regional administrations, top managers of leading oil and gas companies, as well as leading scientists and experts in the industry, participate in the forum's activities.

Today, on April 16, the All-Russian Conference "Renewing the Electric Power Industry as the Foundation for Reliable Energy Supply" was held.

The main topics discussed were as follows:
  • Current challenges in ensuring reliable energy supply and measures to prevent capacity shortages.
  • Prospects for modernizing generating capacities in the regions of the Russian Federation.
  • Current projects for digitalizing the electric grid complex and implementing intelligent control systems.
  • The impact of the growing digital economy on the development of energy systems.
  • The formation of long-term tariff policies and mechanisms for ensuring the financial stability of energy companies.
  • Prospects for import substitution of equipment and strengthening the technological independence of the electric power sector.
  • The development of green generation, energy storage, and the integration of new technologies into the energy system.

Marina Maksimova, Director of the Heat&Power exhibition, participated in the conference's plenary session titled "Ensuring Reliable Energy Supply: Strategic Objectives and System Solutions."

All the topics discussed at the MMIF are real market demands that require the use of technologies, equipment, and expertise.

The solutions discussed today will be showcased at the Heat&Power exhibition in October.
