Applications for the XII International Award "Small Energy – Great Achievements" are open.

A new nomination cycle of the International Award "Small Energy – Great Achievements" has started. Applications for the prestigious professional award in the field of small distributed and renewable energy are open on the project's website. The strategic partner of the competition is traditionally the International Exhibition Heat&Power.

In the context of the transformation of the economy and the energy market, the small distributed energy industry continues to demonstrate sustainability, high adaptability and the ability to implement modern technological solutions. The main objective of this year's Award is to identify and support the best projects contributing to the development of the industry, increasing the energy independence of enterprises and the introduction of advanced solutions.
 
The International Award "Small Energy – Great Achievements" has been held since 2013 and is currently an authoritative platform for the presentation of advanced projects in the field of small distributed and renewable energy. The competition is organized by the Association of Small Energy Companies, and co–organized by the All-Russian Public Organization Delovaya Rossiya.

This year's innovation, the "Best Data Center Energy Supply Project" nomination, is designed to highlight the most efficient, technological and reliable solutions in the field of energy supply to data centers, the demand for which is growing rapidly with the development of the digital economy, cloud services and artificial intelligence.
 
Today, the issue of data center power supply is becoming critically important for the development of the industry. This was also stated by the President of the Russian Federation, calling for the creation of generation facilities in close proximity to consumers for the development of digital services and AI technologies. Distributed generation is currently the only tool capable of solving the problem of energy supply to new data centers in a short time without increasing prices and tariffs. We have already implemented successful projects.
 
Companies and organizations located in Russia and friendly countries operating in the field of small distributed and renewable energy, as well as research institutes and organizations leading applied developments in this field are invited to participate in the Award. Enterprises implementing small distributed energy projects at their own production sites are also invited to participate in the competition. The project submitted for the application must be implemented in the period from 2025 to 2026. Participation in the Award is free of charge.
 
This year, the seventh nomination has also been retained – "The best information project in the field of small distributed energy". Representatives of the mass media, bloggers, as well as companies and organizations creating projects informing about the development of the small distributed energy industry are invited to participate in the Award in this nomination.
 
The winners of the XII International Award "Small Energy – Great Achievements" will be determined by an independent vote of the members of the International Expert Council. It consists of leading experts and analysts in the field of small-scale energy, representatives of the business community, heads of major energy enterprises, professors of specialized universities, as well as prominent scientists from Russia, China and the UAE.
 
According to Maxim Zagornov, the organizer of the project, member of the General Council, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Small Generation of Delovaya Rossiya, President of the Association of Small Energy, one of the main objectives of this year's Award is to emphasize the strategic importance of distributed generation for industry, economy and digital infrastructure of the country.
 
"Today, small-scale energy is becoming one of the key tools for ensuring reliable and affordable energy supply to enterprises. There is a particularly noticeable increase in demand for autonomous and backup energy sources for data centers, industrial facilities and remote areas. I am confident that the XII Small Energy – Great Achievements International Award will help identify the most effective projects, the best engineering teams and new technological solutions that shape the future of the industry," Maxim Zagornov emphasized.
 
Over the past 12 years, 737 companies and organizations from 12 countries have participated in the competition. 50 of them became winners and holders of the main award — the Golden Lightning statuette.
 
Online acceptance of applications for the XII International Award "Small Energy – Great Achievements" has started on the website and will last until October 30, 2026.
