21 June 2019 News Order of the Ministry of Energy of Russia dated February 28, 2019 No. 174 “On approval of the scheme and program for the development of the Unified Energy System of Russia for 2019-2025” This Order stipulates that the main objectives of the UES of Russia scheme and program are to ensure reliable operation of the UES of Russia in the long term, coordinated planning of construction and commissioning (decommissioning) of the network infrastructure facilities and generating facilities and information support of the activities of government bodies power industry policies, as well as commercial and technological infrastructure organizations asli, subjects of electric power industry, consumers of electric energy and investors. The program includes, among others: the forecast of demand for electric energy in the Unified Energy System of Russia and the territories of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation; forecast of maximum power consumption and characteristics of consumption modes of UES of Russia, OES and across the territories of constituent entities of the Russian Federation; forecast of future capacity demand; forecast of the development of existing and proposed for the construction of new generating capacity; requirements for the development of relay protection and automation, means of dispatching and technological control; assessment of the forecast volume of capital investments in the construction of generating facilities, power grid facilities, the nominal voltage class of which is 220 kV and above; development scheme of the UES of Russia.
